Warm homes, done properly.

We design and install heat pumps for homes across Aberystwyth, Machynlleth and the rest of mid-Wales. Every system starts with a proper heat loss calculation and ends with one that runs quietly, cheaply and without fuss.

How a job runs

The same five stages on every job, whether it's a cottage or a school.

  1. Survey

We visit, measure every room and look at walls, floors, windows, loft and the radiators you already have.

  2. Design

A room-by-room heat loss calculation sets the size of the heat pump, the flow temperature and any radiators that need changing. You get the numbers, not a guess.

  3. Install

Neat pipe runs, insulation that is sealed and continuous, a properly sited outdoor unit and tidy electrics. Holes made good before we leave.

  4. Commission

We set the weather compensation curve, flow rates and hot water schedule to the design, then walk you through the controls.

  5. Monitor

We check how the system is running once it has seen some cold weather and fine-tune it, then service it every year.

Why the design matters

A heat pump is at its best running long and gentle at a low water temperature. Get the size or the radiators wrong and it runs hotter, cycles on and off, and costs more than it should.

That's why we spend the time on the survey and the numbers. It's also why we come back: a system set up to the design and then checked in real weather is the one that delivers the running costs you were promised.

Many older stone and slate houses in mid-Wales suit a heat pump well once the design accounts for them properly. We'll tell you plainly if yours needs other work first.

Where we work

We're based in Borth and cover Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, the Dyfi valley and the surrounding area of Ceredigion and north Powys. If you're a little further out, ask anyway.
